Contest entries come from near and far. When we found out that Rachel, the December 2003 fourth place winner, lives near Mama Math Cat and Emily (one of the contest judges), we met at a coffeeshop so Rachel could get her certificate in person. After eating treats and having a nice visit, we shivered outside for a couple of photos.
